What changes the price
Dryer vent prices vary more than most people expect. These are the things that move the number:
- Where the vent comes out. A ground-level wall vent is the simplest; second-story and roof vents take more setup and time.
- How long the run is, and how many turns it makes.
- How much lint has built up since the last cleaning.
- Whether there’s a bird or animal nest to pull out.
- How easy the dryer is to reach, such as a stacked unit in a closet.
- Whether the vent is badly blocked or crushed, which takes longer to clear.

Why the lowest ad isn’t always the lowest bill
A low starting price usually covers a ground-level wall vent with a short run. Roof vents, second-story vents, nests and long runs are where published prices climb, so compare what’s included, not just the headline number.
Ask whether the price covers the full run from the dryer to the outside hood, whether the hood and flap get cleaned, and whether you’ll see photos of the result.
Getting an exact price for your home
Call or text us a photo of where your vent comes out and tell us which floor the dryer is on. That’s usually enough for an exact price, without a visit.
